Rich Wurzbach has over 20 years of experience in the development of Predictive Maintenance programs and the applications of diagnostic technologies for industrial equipment.
His expertise lies in the applications of Grease Sampling and Analysis, Infrared Thermography, and Lubrication Technologies. He is experienced in the integration of various diagnostic technologies for equipment assessment.
He is an ASNT PdM Level III in Infrared Thermography, and is CLS and OMA certified by STLE. He is also a LLA-I Laboratory Lubricant Analyst by ICML. He was employed as a Maintenance Engineer by Philadelphia Electric Company at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station from 1989-1999.
He later held leadership positions as part of the National Institutes of Health CBM team that was awarded an "Outstanding Precision Maintenance Award" by Uptime Magazine.
He has served as a consultant to the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and performed site lubrication and Condition-Based Maintenance audits at numerous plants and industries.
He has submitted patents for a number of tools for lubricant sampling and analysis, and is currently the president of MRG Labs in York, PA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Millersville University (PA).
He was the Chairman of the International Thermosense committee in 1998, and has published over 40 technical papers and journal articles.
