Evan Bupp has been working with MRG since 2006, as a laboratory chemist and engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a certificate in Nuclear Engineering from that institution.
He was a key contributor in the development of patents for advanced methods in grease sampling and analysis, leading to the production of the Grease Thief as a commercial product.
He has held a leadership role in the development of custom filtration solutions to address wear and quality issues in wire-drawing applications, as well as a project to develop sampling methods and evaluate lubricating conditions in robotic manufacturing in the automotive industry.
He has initiated condition monitoring and root-cause evaluation programs for local and national companies, including pulp and paper mills, amusement parks and several nuclear power plants.
He is an active member of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), and is a contributing author of standards and work practices in the D02 (Petroleum Products) committee. He is certified by the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) as a Machinery Lubrication Technician Level I.
